Greensboro, NC — You are invited to take part in a grassroots conference that aims to shatter the silence surrounding HIV/AIDS. Join us on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the campus of Guilford College for a day of teach-ins and grassroots collaboration. Exploring the intersections of power, privilege, and stigma, these workshops will provide tactics and strategies for community action and sociopolitical advocacy.

Speakers include: Lisa Tiger, AIDS educator and member of the Muscogee Nation; Matt Kavanagh, Director of Student Global AIDS Campaign; Erin Burns, National Student Coordinator of Student Global AIDS Campaign; Justin Smith, Director of Project STYLE; Martha Lang, Medical Sociologist and Guilford professor, and many more. This day-long conference is entirely free and meals will be provided at no cost.

The Summit will take place in Frank Family Science Center. Enter through the NorthWest entrance on New Garden Road. A map is available online here.
